What We Like

What We Don't Like

  • Limited free plan: RoboForm’s lifetime free subscription lets you save all your passwords, but you’re restricted to signing in to one device at a time.
  • The family plan is restricted to five people: It’s on par with 1Password, but it’s not as good as NordPass and Dashlane’s family subscriptions.
  • Desktop app can’t save passwords: If you want to save passwords to your vault, you’ll need to stick with browser extensions or smartphone apps.

Bottom Line

RoboForm gets the basics right: It uses the gold standard in data encryption, features zero-knowledge architecture, and can safely autofill login credentials on any device. It also has some limitations, like family plans restricted to five people and functionality on the desktop apps. However, it’s hard to complain when the premium plan only costs $20 a year.
