Black Friday and Cyber Monday 2024 falls on November 29 and December 2, respectively. And if you love shopping online, we’re sure you’re eager to start making a shopping list. So, why not add antivirus software to that list this year? If the past tells us anything, it’s that antivirus software like Norton will be on sale when Black Friday and Cyber Monday 2024 comes.
As we wait for those two shopping holidays, let’s look back on Norton’s Black Friday and Cyber Monday deals from 2023 and beyond.
Norton Antivirus Black Friday Deals: How Much Can You Save?
Norton is one of the best antivirus brands right now, and one reason for that is its perfect balance between price and features. It’s affordable, yet it doesn’t skimp on necessary antivirus features, so any time of the year, we believe Norton is a good buy.
It was a particularly good buy during Black Friday last year, as Norton subscriptions were up to 78-percent off. The Norton 360 Standard plan, in particular, offered big savings. It protects up to three devices, provides two gigabytes of encrypted cloud storage, gives access to a password manager, and includes a VPN and dark web monitoring for basic identity protection. All those features were included in the $19.99 special Black Friday subscription price – that’s roughly $1.67 per month.
Pro Tip: It’s not always worth waiting for the best deal when it comes to your online protection. Right now, Norton is running a 50-percent off sale. Although that’s not as big as last year’s Black Friday sale, it lets you get Norton Antivirus Plus today for $29.99 for the first year. That’s $2.50 per month.
Here’s a complete look at Norton’s Black Friday pricing from last year:

Black Friday price (for the first year) | $14.99 | $19.99 | $29.99 | $69.99 |
Current regular price | $59.99 | $94.99 | $119.99 | $179.99 |
Antivirus software | Yes | Yes | Yes | Yes |
No. of devices | 1 | 3 | 5 | 10 |

Keep in mind, however, that the discounts are applied to the first-year subscriptions only. Once the first year is up, it will renew automatically at the then-current renewal rates, which is sometimes nearly double the discount prices. Still, savings for one year is not bad, eh?
Which Plan Offers the Best Value?
Norton 360 Select plus LifeLock carried the highest savings value ($110) last year and we expect the same this year. The Norton 360 Deluxe plan was a close second with an $80 discount, but given what it offers, we think it’s a much better deal than any other Norton subscription.
Norton 360 Deluxe includes licenses to the Norton 360 antivirus software for up to five devices, a 50 GB cloud backup, a password manager, parental control features and School Time, and the SafeCam feature for PCs. Basically, it has everything Norton 360 has to offer.
The only differences between the Deluxe and the Select plus LifeLock plan is that the latter protects 10 devices and includes LifeLock identity protection. Since the price difference is $40, the Deluxe plan simply offers better value for its cost.
That said, the best-value plan for you still depends on your digital safety needs.
Here are our recommendations.
- Norton Antivirus Plus: This is a good entry-level plan. At $14.99 for the first year during last year’s Black Friday sale, it offers the same antivirus software as the higher-end plans but without as many extras. It protects one device, has a two GB cloud backup storage, and includes a password manager, but that’s about all.
- Norton 360 Standard: This plan is a better option for those who need the SafeCam feature and more cloud storage space, and are willing to pay $10 more than the Antivirus Plus plan. It protects up to three devices, and in addition to the inclusion of the AntiVirus Plus plan, it also offers a VPN and dark web monitoring.
- Norton 360 Deluxe: This is an excellent mid-range option that offers everything Norton 360 has to offer, plus it carries the highest dollar-value savings. You can enjoy protection for up to five devices with this plan.
- Norton 360 Select plus LifeLock: This is the most expensive plan, but it protects up to 10 devices and includes full access to LifeLock identity protection. However, LifeLock might have Black Friday discounts all on its own, so if you’re considering this plan, compare LifeLock’s prices first. You may be able to save more by buying antivirus and identity protection subscriptions separately.
Summary
Norton is without a doubt a leading antivirus brand. It offers the most advanced virus detection technology, and has lots of extra protections for the average internet user, like the password manager, secure cloud backup, and SafeCam.
With Norton’s Black Friday and Cyber Monday 2024 sales quickly approaching, now is the best time to start deciding which Norton antivirus subscription is right for you so you’re ready to take advantage when those deals get released. And if you see one you like, don’t hesitate to grab it. The Black Friday deals will only be available on November 29 and the Cyber Monday deals will be on December 2.
