What We Like

What We Don't Like

  • No local video storage: If we wanted to record video, we had to pay extra for cloud storage.
  • Limited field of view: Some cameras on the market have fields of view as wide as 160 degrees and more. None of Ring’s cameras have fields of view over 150 degrees, and their least expensive camera provides only 115 degrees.
  • Cellular backup costs extra: Cellular backup ensures your cameras work even if your Wi-Fi goes down. Unfortunately, you need to purchase a monthly Ring Protect plan if you want this level of security.

Bottom Line

Ring has the most options when it comes to security cameras, from indoor to outdoor, from wired to wireless. With prices ranging from just $60 to $270, there's an option to meet every budget.
