When Is Black Friday 2024?
Black Friday is always the day after Thanksgiving, and Cyber Monday is the Monday that follows. This year, Black Friday is slated for November 29 and December 2. To prepare for the upcoming sale, let’s take a look at what Blink offered last year to help us set our expectations.
2024 Blink Deals on Black Friday, Cyber Monday, and Beyond
Blink is an Amazon-owned brand, and so the place with the best Blink deals last year was none other than Amazon itself. And we all know Amazon; its deals can get pretty crazy.
Last year, for example, the already affordable Blink Mini (usually $34.99) went on sale for 43-percent off, or only $19.99. The upgraded version with a pan-and-tilt mounting base enjoyed an even bigger percentage off – 50-percent from $59.99 to $29.99.

A little different from the year prior when Amazon bundled Blink with Alexa devices, we saw a lot of multi-camera packs last year. Those were packages that included two or more Blink cameras of the same kind, as well as bundles with multiple types of Blink cameras. The discounts were just as jaw-dropping as single-camera sales – up to 51-percent off on select bundles.

Blink Pricing and Packages
Since Amazon acquired Blink back in December 2017, Blink has launched a number of different cameras. A few years ago, it released the Blink Mini, a $34.99 wired indoor camera, followed by the Blink Indoor and Blink Outdoor, both battery-powered cameras. In 2022, Blink followed up with a video doorbell and a floodlight-equipped camera, and then a mounting accessory for the Blink Mini that can turn the camera into a pan-and-tilt camera. And then last year, a new Blink Outdoor was released, the Blink Outdoor 4.
This year, Blink’s only release was the Blink Mini 2 – an upgrade to the first-gen Blink Mini because this camera can now live outdoors, provided you buy it with the outdoor-rated power adapter (sold separately). The 2nd gen Blink Mini also comes with a built-in spotlight, wider field of vision, and an on-device computer vision for features such as person detection.

If some of these products seem familiar, that’s because they’re similar to what Ring offers, specifically the video doorbell and the floodlight-equipped cameras. Take note that Blink isn’t a copycat of Ring; in fact, the two are sister companies both owned by Amazon. While Ring security cameras are superior in quality, Blink’s pricing on its cameras are lower, especially during sale events like this Black Friday.
FYI: Amazon owns both Blink and Ring, but the two companies target different markets. Blink sells affordable products, with cameras starting at only $39.99 and video doorbells selling for $59.99. Ring, on the other hand, is superior in features and quality, but a little more expensive than Blink.
Cloud and Local Storage
Blink sells both cloud and local video storage solutions for its cameras through Amazon. In the past Blink hasn’t offered discounts on its cloud storage plans, but we’ve seen discounts on bundles that include the Sync Module 2 base station and storage device.
While some Blink cameras work as standalone devices, the Sync Module 2 is required to create a camera system. The Blink cameras connect to the module wirelessly, and if you plug a USB flash drive into the base station, the cameras can use it as storage for videos.
On the other hand, cloud storage means that your cameras will send videos to Blink’s cloud servers, powered by Amazon Web Services. You can access your videos anytime and anywhere as long as you have an internet connection. However, cloud storage isn’t free. You can opt to not pay for a cloud plan, but that would mean that your cameras won’t be able to store videos unless you have a Sync Module 2.
